About the theory

Welcome to The7Laws, a homepage dedicated to exploring and promoting the seven laws of civilizations theory proposed by Miroslav Bárta. As an Egyptologist and archaeologist, Bárta has dedicated his career to studying the rise and fall of ancient civilizations. Later on, Bárta started to study civilizations in comparative perspective. Through his research, he has identified seven key laws that he believes are essential for the success and sustainability of any civilization.

 This groundbreaking theory explains the factors that impact the emergence, rise and decline of human societies. Through his research and analysis, Bárta has identified seven key laws that govern the rise and fall of civilizations, providing a unique perspective on the patterns and processes that shape human history. Our goal at The.Laws is to promote and discuss this theory, sparking meaningful conversations about the past, present, and future of our global society.

The concept of the seven laws of civilizations theory was summarised by Miroslav Bárta in his Czech edition book "Seven Laws of Civilization: how civilizations rise and fall" (Brno, Jota 2021). 

 The7Laws homepage was created to provide a platform for discussion and promotion of this theory, with the goal of creating a better understanding of human civilizations and their evolution and to make our own civilization more sustainable.
